Project requirements: Orient and sleeve 4½ inch frozen chicken patties at a rate of 7,500 lbs/hr. Room restrictions: 8 ft wide x 10 ft high door, packaging scale system, freezer discharge height.

Solution: The Omar Associates sleeving system orients, and sleeves patties while clearing the door height and without removal of the existing packaging system. Sleeves are automatically fed into each station. Full sleeves are conveyed to a central station where an operator can remove and seal the package. Controls include an Allen Bradley PLC and various sensing devices. The entire machine is wash-down duty and requires minimal periodic maintenance.
